Literature Text

Rattling chains and rustling leaves,
One holds you back, while one sets you free.
I wish for once we could have no worries
Rather than live with these constant cold flurries.

Sunken eyes sink deep through your thoughts,
And time after time, your mind only clots.
We're a rag-tag duet of sorrow and pain,
Our wells of happiness fast becoming drained.

But if you'd only let me, I'd gladly take more,
I'd let your pain rot through to my core.
And yet try as I might, I can't steal your sorrow,
I can only wait to see what comes with tomorrow.

But before the last leaf falls from the tree,
Before the wind finally overtakes the lee,
I hope you can discover a place in your mind
Where you can finally rest and leave my corpse behind.
Ha, and this is how I felt before...
I wrote this during a silent moment me and Bird shared at her house. After watching her mind for a while.

The picture only matches if you share my connotations...

Holy shit this blows me away. I wish I could write my own poetry as well as this. It ust flows together so smoothly, and seamlessly! Rhyming is never my strong point but you aced it!

I love this piece.
